The Roth Family Jewish Community Center of Greater Orlando is the home of Jewish life in Central Florida

Our mission is to build community, strengthen family life, and promote universal human values through a Jewish lens. We accomplish this through our award-winning Richard S. Adler Early Childhood Learning Center, the Andrew Hansen Mandell Camp J, after-school programs, wellness and sports programs, and community and culture programs.

COMMUNITY

JCC membership and all of our programming are open to the entire community—we welcome everyone, Jewish and non-Jewish. We strive to be a home for all regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, socioeconomic background, sexuality, and gender identity. When you join the J, you join the J family. We can’t wait to welcome you!

HISTORY

When we opened our doors in 1973, our goal was to “create a facility which will serve our entire Jewish community, our children and grandchildren.” Then, Orlando was home to approximately 1,300 Jewish families; today, there are over 25,500 Jewish households in the Orlando area. Just as in 1973, we continue to serve Jewish Orlando, and hope to do so for generations to come.

What began as a modest house amidst a quiet orange grove in Maitland has swelled into a vibrant community hub.

As we’ve grown, so have our offerings. When you’re on our campus, you’ll run into folks doing a little bit of everything. From the preschool and basketball leagues to our seniors group and film club, we have something for everyone. We welcome thousands of people to our campus daily, where they enjoy our quality programming and build community in an environment rich in Jewish values.

Being created b’tzelem Elohim (in the image of God) unifies all of humankind, while at the same time distinguishing each human being from all others.

Holy times are ones in which various mundane activities are either suspended or imbued with special meaning; holy places are those in which we feel ourselves to be fully present enough to appreciate the unique, the extraordinary, the divine.

The spirit of inquiry with human nature is the impetus for growth and reflection.
