From infants to big kids – and their adults, too! – Shalom Orlando has enrichment programs to engage them all. There are options to fit a variety of schedules, interests, and age ranges, and JCC members or Shayna's Village members can save on every one! Shayna's Village Classes for Infants and Toddlers

These “Adult and Me” classes give the littlest learners a chance to spend quality time with their grown-ups while focusing on motor-skills, verbal development, and FUN!

Tummy Time!

This trademarked class will teach you fun activities like infant massage, baby yoga, and additional techniques to do with your babies so they get all the benefits of tummy time.

Go Baby!

The children will develop fine and gross motor skills, body awareness, strength and flexibility, while having fun through creative music and fitness activities. For mobile babies – young toddlers.

(pre-verbal infants)

Grow vocabulary and pre-language skills to lay the foundation for your baby’s future communication. Learn to incorporate baby sign language into your daily routine as we explore music, books, meals, playtime, and more! For pre-verbal infants.

Mommy and Me Yoga

Yoga and mindfulness are terrific for humans of all ages. For our youngest children, they are priceless! You and your child will learn strategies for self-regulation and happiness, including yoga poses, meditation, and deep breathing, all with a Jewish twist.

Free Family Fridays

A time each week for you to spend with your little ones, enjoying the Village activities including Stories and Snuggles, Snack Date, and Musical Shabbat.

FREE with Annual Village Pass or JCC membership. Visitors may attend once as a guest.

Afternoon Enrichment for Children 2 to 4 Years Old

Swimming, chess, music, sports, and more – these engaging classes have something for every youngster who is eager to learn and explore.

Group Swim

These group lessons are structured the same as private lessons, with the children benefiting from observing and learning alongside their peers. Group swim lessons are capped at 4 per class.

Yoga

Give your child the tools they need to live a healthy, happy life with mindful yoga. Every class includes movement sequences woven together with classroom themes like gratitude and integrity, along with breathing and yoga exercises that all children can enjoy.

Advanced Karate

Fridays, 2:00 - 2:45 p.m.

Through Seido karate classes, your child will gain balance, coordination, flexibility, and strength. Classes are taught by 6th degree black belt Shihan Gil Alstein. Children in this Advanced class must have taken at least 1 other semester with Shihan Gil.

Bongos

This class focuses on intruding bongos, rhythm, coordination, and group music-making in a fun and engaging way. Each week builds on the previous lessons to develop fundamental skills while encouraging creativity.

Soccer

Beginner soccer players will get an introduction to the fundamentals of soccer, build social skills, and improve self-confidence under the instruction of a trained UpField Soccer teacher.

Music Makers – Guitar

Calling all future rock stars! This class will focus on introducing the guitar, simple counting, making sounds, and performing in a fun and engaging way.

Simcha Snackers

Ignite your child’s passion for cooking and their connection to Jewish culture with our immersive, hand-on kids cooking class. Your young chefs will gain practical skills such as measuring, proper use of kitchen utensils, and critical safety practices, that will serve them for a lifetime.

Chesslandia

Music Makers – Instrument Exploration

This open-ended curriculum is designed to explore the history, functions and group dynamics of various instruments. We will focus on hands-on activities, creativity, and group collaboration while introducing students to keyboards, electric guitars, bass, bells, percussion, and other group- oriented instruments. 

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Wednesdays, 1:15 - 2:45 p.m.

In this class, children will experience how they can help make a difference to the Earth in fun and engaging ways through games, songs, and creating with everyday items. We will be using plastic bottles, empty paper towel rolls, and tin cans just to name a few, all while learning about the 3Rs.

Junior Tennis Development

Revolution Academy Junior Tennis Program is designed to give children the chance to develop the proper technique, movement, and hand-eye coordination so they can foster a love for the sport of tennis.

These small group swim lessons are great for children who already have a foundation in swimming and want to gain confidence and a more advanced skillset in the water. Through Seido karate classes, your child will gain balance, coordination, flexibility and strength. Children are encouraged to try their best to meet the challenges they may face in this class. Classes are taught by 6th degree black belt Shihan Gil Alstein. This class is for children with a yellow belt and up.
