The Women Shaping What Comes Next

Lindsay Schwartz

Lindsay Schwartz grew up in Longwood and is a UCF graduate. Her connection to the Roth Family JCC began in 2017, when she brought her daughter Rachael to Shayna’s Village. That first day, she met Lindsey Gluck, beginning a friendship and lasting connection to the J.

Lindsay chaired Teacher Appreciation at the ECLC for three years, was named Volunteer of the Year, and remains involved with Gotlib Jewish Academy. Her love for PJ Library grew after attending its conference, and daughters Rachael and Honey are now self-appointed “PJ Library Interns.”

Lindsay and her husband, Joe, are members of CRJ, and their girls attend URJ Camp Coleman. She loves meeting the next generation of JCC moms and watching her daughters become part of what comes next. She is honored to be recognized alongside Lindsey and Stephanie Tell, friendships that reflect what the J has brought into her life.

What does the Orlando Jewish community mean to you?

Being part of the Orlando Jewish community means having a place that truly feels like home. It is where many of our closest friendships have formed, and where some have grown into family. My girls are growing up surrounded by traditions, community, and people who have helped shape who they are. I know it will be bittersweet in 2030 when Honey finishes at GJA and I’m no longer at the J every day, because this community has become such an important part of our family’s life.

Stephanie Tell

My name is Stephanie Tell, a wife to Dylan and mom to three girls, Morgan, Sydney, and Hannah. I am a pediatric speech-language pathologist by background with a passion in early intervention.

While my career has shaped much of who I am, my favorite and most important role today is being a mom. I am also deeply passionate about building community and creating meaningful connections for families.

As president of the ECLC Parent Advisory Committee, I enjoy bringing families together, supporting teachers and staff, and helping create a welcoming school community. Outside of family and community involvement, life is busy with our three dogs and all the beautiful chaos that comes with raising three little girls.

What does the Orlando Jewish community mean to you?

The Orlando Jewish community means connection, belonging, and family. With no extended family nearby, this community has become a place where my family and I have built meaningful relationships and created a sense of home. I am grateful for friendships, traditions, and opportunities to celebrate Jewish life together. Being involved in the community allows me to give back while helping create the kind of connected, welcoming Jewish community I want my children to grow up in.

Lindsey Gluck

Lindsey Gluck grew up in Silver Spring, Maryland, and Boca Raton, Florida. After attending college and law school at the University of Florida, she moved to Orlando in 2011 to practice law. A year later, she met her beshert, Andrew. Lindsey practiced law for five years before stepping away when she and Andrew welcomed their first child, Emily.

Today, Lindsey is mom to 9-year-old Emily and 6-year-old Adele. She finds joy in creativity and connection, whether she’s painting rocks to leave around Orlando for others to find or getting to know someone new and hearing their story.

Her most meaningful volunteer experiences include supporting teachers at the JCC preschool, connecting with congregants while serving on Congregation Ohev Shalom’s Executive Board and committees, sharing stories and cooking adventures with young learners at Ohev Shalom’s Cooking Through the Calendar, and participating in the sacred tradition of the Tahara.

Lindsey probably has a list of 20 things she won’t get done today, but if she’s had one meaningful interaction along the way, she’ll always believe it was worth it.

What does the Orlando Jewish community mean to you?

When I think of the Orlando Jewish community, I see faces. And the faces I see first are the women who’ve been part of my Jewish journey here over the past 15 years. Women who’ve taken an interest in me and my family. Women who’ve invited me in. Women I parent alongside. Community happens when we open up and connect, and I’m grateful to be part of a Jewish community with women who make that easy to do.
