Shalom Orlando and the Jewish Federation of Greater Orlando are home to several inspiring programs for local women. With opportunities for growth and friendship here and abroad, we are proud to connect Jewish women to each other and to the Central Florida Jewish Community.

Choices Women’s Gala

Choices is a time-honored tradition in the Central Florida Jewish community, celebrating more than 30 years as one of the area’s largest annual gatherings of Jewish women. This event brings together a diverse community of women committed to nurturing Jewish life in Central Florida. Choices serves as one of Shalom Orlando’s primary fundraising events of the year, supporting a wide range of initiatives, including grants and family-oriented educational programs. The next Choices event will be held on February 26, 2026, in the ballroom at Congregation Ohev Shalom. We will be honoring 5 amazing women.

Lions of Judah

The Lions of Judah are the most dynamic philanthropic Jewish women in the world. They are strong women of all ages, an international sisterhood of thousands of global activists who care deeply about the Jewish future.

Lions of Judah, who each make minimum gifts of $5,000 to the Jewish community, play a vital role in creating social justice, aiding the vulnerable, preserving human dignity and building Jewish identity.

Pomegranate Society

Pomegranates are women who nurture, sustain, and plant the seeds for the next generation of Jewish leaders and are critical to the future of our community. Pomegranates are a group of inspiring women who, just like you, want to practice the principle of Tikkun Olam (repair the world) in a meaningful way. Pomegranates each make minimum gifts of $1,800 to the Jewish community.
